First Entry

Hello Everyone,

After becoming a happy follower of Offcenter with Ehkzu (blogzu.blogspot.com) I thought it would be interesting to post some of my own writings. Unlike Ehkzu's most of mine won't be sensible political commentary; instead, I plan to publish a solid selection of my poems and short stories here for others to enjoy. I've discovered that I don't write new ones as often as I did in high school, and I also hope that writing this blog will cause me to rectify that. I indulge in many different forms of poems, and have only written a few short stories so I haven't really settled on a style for those. I look forward to reader comments on all my work, especially since some of it has never before seen the outside of my notebooks, and the surest path to improvement is constructive criticism.

I have published before, once in Immortal Verses by Poetry.com, and put a few poems into the 2008 edition of Plano East Literary Magazine, some under my name and some as Alexis West, a favored pseudonym. I know that was the first edition of the PESH Literary Magazine, and although I haven't kept up with it I hope it's not the last.
